Our Philosophy

Kentwood Heights Weekday Early Education Care is a Christian, non-profit organization. It is owned and operated by Kentwood Heights Baptist Church as a ministry under religious licensure exemption status in accordance with the Code of Virginia section 63.2-1716.

W.E.E. Care Preschool admits students of any race, color, and national or ethnic origin.

The program's purpose is to foster the spiritual, mental, emotional, social, and physical development of each child by providing a safe place for them to learn and grow through a variety of developmentally appropriate activities. Bible truths and Christian principles are fundamental aspects of our daily curriculum, special events, and overall environment.

A Word from our Director

The 2026-2027 school year will be the 31st year of operation for our Christian preschool ministry, WEECare. I am blessed to continue to lead this program and my heart is fully committed to the spiritual & educational development of your child as we get ready for a new year and all the excitement that preschool discovery brings. It is truly a privilege to help instill a love for learning & watch the students grow that God has entrusted us with. This year, the staff & I look forward to learning & exploring alongside your preschooler as we learn our ABC's & 123's as well as just how much God loves us, uniquely designed us & created us with a mighty purpose as we jump into new activities and take on new challenges all with His help!

Our Preschool Classes offers:

4-day program [M-TH] for our 4's turning 5yr class

2-day [M/W or T/TH] OR 4-day [M-TH] option program for our 3's turning 4yr class.

Students must be 3 years old by September 30, 2026, and FULLY potty-trained to attend. Students cannot turn 6 years old in our care (Aug 2026 - May 2027).

In our preschool classrooms, we offer a safe, joyful environment where children 3 to 5 years prepare for kindergarten through a variety of hands-on and developmentally appropriate activities. We follow a predictable, secure daily routine that balances independent exploration with teacher-led instruction. We focus on social skills, early academics, Biblical lessons, creativity, and active play (including an emphasis on enhancing both fine & gross motor skills.) Our Christ-centered classrooms provide a place where each child's spiritual, social and physical development can flourish as they come to know the truth that they are uniquely, hand-crafted for a purpose and loved by God.

Our "Stepping Stones" Class offers:
2-day [M/W or T/TH] for students that are 2yr 6mo by the start date of school

This classroom is built on the beauty of play! Our curriculum is carefully crafted to help nurture your child's independence, focus, and natural problem-solving abilities. We explore imaginative play, develop essential fine/gross motor skills, and build early social connections. Most importantly, this class serves as a warm, supportive introduction to a school routine, ensuring a seamless and confident transition into the preschool years ahead.
